Bangladesh's 'Seeds for the Future Team' is in the top 10 in the world

Bangladesh's winners in Huawei's 'Seeds for the Future-2021' have made it to the top 10 teams in the '2021 Tech for Good' competition. This month, 7 youngsters from Bangladesh will take part in the global semifinal round of Seeds for the Future, the next step, '2021 Tech for Good'.

The Seeds for the Future competition started in September last year. Students of different science and engineering universities took part in it. 

Best 16 students were selected in the Bangladesh final round held in November 2021. Later, Bangladeshi students from 130 countries and regions also submitted their project presentations under the theme 'Take for All'. From there, everyone in Bangladesh was shortlisted in the global competition round. According to the results of the quarter finals held this week, 6 people from Bangladesh will take part in the global semifinal round. There they will fight Argentina, Brazil, Iraq, Libya, Lebanon, South Africa, Thailand and Poland.

Syed Doha Uddin, Nishat Tasnim, Mohtasim Tasnim Zaman, Syeda Fatema Fairuz, Imtiaz Ahmed, Ramisha Raida Karim, Mehedi Hasan and Fatema Islam Tania was attended on this occasion.

Zhang Zhengjun, CEO of Huawei Bangladesh, said, "Huawei has decided to create one lakh young people in the Asia-Pacific region for the digital and ICT sector by 2028. Huawei believes that young people are a great force in Bangladesh.

Seeds for the Future is Huawei's flagship CSR program, dedicated to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) based students worldwide and inspires talented ICT sector. Launched for the first time in Bangladesh in 2014, the program has been caring for talented people in the ICT sector since its inception. Earlier, some of the winners of this program had the opportunity to work with Huawei.

The semi-finals of the 2021 Tech for Good will be held later this month, with the top three projects announced. -Notification
